This Code of Conduct is intended to ensure the spirit of cricket is maintained. It applies to all matches played under the auspices of the MCC and may be applied to cricket in general.<\/li><li>The Captains are always responsible for ensuring that play is conducted within this ethos, as well as within the Laws.<\/li><li>Players and Team Offi\u001dcials must as all times accept the Umpire\u2019s decision. Players must not show dissent at the Umpire\u2019s decision, or react in a provocative or\u00a0 disapproving manner towards an Umpire, at any time.<\/li><li>Players and Team Offi\u001dcials shall not intimidate, assault, or attempt to intimidate or assault, an Umpire, other player or spectator.<\/li><li>Players and Team Officials shall not use crude and\/or abusive language, nor make offensive gestures or hand signals, nor deliberately distract an opponent.<\/li><li>Players and Team O\u001dfficials shall not make racially abusive comments, use inappropriate language, nor indulge in racially abusive actions against fellow players, offi\u001dcials, members, and supporters.
